i did sudo eopkg it --reinstall lightdm and reboot
but loop isn't gone , then i booted in tty,
journalctl -b -p err|less
gave :

and
"journalctl | grep lightdm" gave :
Hint: You are currently not seeing messages from other users and the system.
Users in groups 'adm', 'input', 'systemd-journal', 'wheel' can see all messages.
Pass -q to turn off this notice.
but if i type
sudo journalctl | grep lightdm
it's a lot longer
i also created as you suggested a new user, but the password looped all the same at startup
i can boot in tty with this :
startx
when i do in the terminal "sudo su" to get root i have a
bash: /usr/share/defaults/etc/profile.d/update: no such files
is this meaning something important ?
