After years of following Solus, I am ready to ditch windows 10, and happily.
It's been years since I played with Linux, but win10 has been rubbing me the wrong way for too long and I now have the time/energy to finally make the change.
After an assessment of everything I use daily, I spotted one hurdle. There is one specific windows software that I need to keep using for professional reasons.
I'd rather not go the dual boot route, because a) I'm here to ditch windows, not to have to launch it everyday for one specific use, b) don't want go in all the intricacies of uefi/grub/partitionning that I haven't keep up with for the last 10 years, especially on a laptop.
So I would like to try to emulate it but I don't have much experience with this.
The software in question needs GTK#, or Mono and XQuartz for the Mac OS version. It would it network access to synchronise its database online.
What would be the best way ? Wine, VMware or something else ?
Cheers
