Steam games don't launch

On a fresh solus KDE install i can install any game on steam but none of them want to run, the same games that worked on Manjaro a day ago, i can run games I installed like GOG games but nothing runs from steam, I already removed steam with every steam bits and folders left and rebooted before reinstalling but the problem persists, any suggestion would be appreciated.

Got NVIDIA GPU? Have you installed 32-bit drivers? https://getsol.us/articles/gaming/steam/en/
If that doesn't help, try fiddling with the Linux Steam Integration settings.

Thanks for your answer but i have an Intel Mesa GPU, i will try fiddling with the steam settings then.

I tried every setting possible, runtime, shader, proton...nothing works so I downloaded the same game I own on Steam from GOG and it works very well without Steam, I will stop using Steam then...

bluvisnu Did you restart Steam after applying different settings in "Linux Steam Integration"? Otherwise it doesn't change anything.

What is interesting also is whenever i install or remove steam the tap to click of my touchpad stops working but in the settings it is still turned on so i have to remove the tap to click and put it back again.
Anyway, thank you for your help, i consider the problem solved by removing steam from my system and using GOG games instead.

Have you tried running a game from your terminal? Maybe there's something useful in the output there to solve your issue.

You can run steam games from terminal like this:

steam steam://rungameid/960690

The ID is the same as the one in the game's store page's URL - e.g.: https://store.steampowered.com/app/960690/One_Step_From_Eden/

I'm having a problem today suddenly this morning I can't launch my games. It says user disabled steam runtime. I've tried a few things and the game keeps crashing.

i didn't locate the problem, i just removed Steam to play only to my GOG games...

bluvisnu you can forward your steam games to Lutris and they should run. That could be a temporary patch until you figure out the problem.

I think my problem is something with Linux Steam Intergration. I was doing a benchmark with RotTR and had to turn it off to run it. But I then turned it back on and played Sleeping Dogs before shutting down for the night. Upon reboot is when I got that error with steam.

Did a fresh install and games run fine. I will run RotTR via Lutris to bypass having to turn LSI off.

Please don't resurrect years old threads. A lot has changed in the last 5 years regarding Steam, Plasma and Solus.
