Installation of PANTUM M6506W printer drivers

I need to install the driver for PANTUM M6506W printer which come only as an Ubuntu install package.

Actually the scan functionality is the problem, the generic printer setup works now.

How can I setup the scanner?

You are supposed to run the .sh file in the terminal with the sh(?) command I think. I didn't try it.

But since this is a ubu-only package there's no guarantees. I changed permissions and double-clicked it. Nothing.
There is no README file either which is strange. In their .pdf there are approx. 25 pages dedicated to mac and pc install and none to linux.
What I AM finding is a lot of tech threads regarding ubu install of Pantum scanner drivers. Maybe dig around those forums.
