I've random problems with the latest current kernel release (and the LTS is not working).
Today I've had to restart my system for the 4th time. Sometime it hangs and it doesn't react anymore. But, it still plays music from Spotify and if there's a YouTube video on Vivaldi, I can pause and restart it (because no audio is played). Anyway, the system is unusable, because no menu is drawn.
After restarting, from today, I get a new problem: the CPU usage is erratic and overall extremely high, also without any kind of activity. Each action is smoothed and requires some moments to be performed (also writing this).
Attached there're some screenshots of the CPU usage.
The oldest one was with a really high CPU usage, but the System was doing nothing: started, with ResourceMonitor and Thunderbird. Then it went down, and then it started to be erratic.
The newest one is with this erratic behaviour.
There're some windows open (Vivaldi, with around 70 tabs on over 4 different desktops), the ResourceMonitor and Thunderbird. The System is sluggish, I barely can write.
If someone has a suggestion about making the System more stable, is welcome.
For the first time after years I'm thinking about leaven Solus. I don't want do to it and I don't want to be bad, I know that who works invests a lot of his free time and he's paid nothing. But, on the other side, I need a stable System. Actually the LTS is unusable and the current kernel is an endless source of problems.
Note:
Please don't write me that I've too many tabs with Vivaldi. Some weeks ago I was working with at least 100 spread over 5 desktop, then I've thought that it was a bit too much. But, I've never experienced something like this.
4th restart was to check if the problem was here to stay or just a wrong start, but it looks the first one. So also a restart isn't an option.
