This one has come up for me in the last day or so, although I don't reboot often so I suspect the issue has something to do with my last update performed 2020-06-21.
When booting my system the default boot option that's selected is 'Reboot into Firmware Interface', and no matter what I do I can't get it to change.
I have tried deleting and recreating the EFI partition, I've run multiple sudo clr-boot-manager update
after booting, I've tried to force the change with sudo clr-boot-manager set-kernel
, I've even installed linux-lts
(which does show up in the boot menu) but it still has 'Reboot into Firmware Interface' as the default option. clr-boot-manager
does seem to be making changes, as I can change the boot timeout with it, it just won't change the default boot option.
Any ideas?
