Unable to install Wavebox Application

Wavebox (https://wavebox.io) has an multi-web application what I use for my email. They offer just rpm, deb and tar.gz. When I attempt to install the wavebox.tar.gz application and run the wavebox.desktop application, I get an error that the chrome web app the application is trying to run is not allowed as root (Issue 638180: Exit instead of crashing when running as root without --no-sandbox). This application runs fine under Arch, Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora. The snap version of wavebox is too old (4.11 vs current version 10). Please advise on how to install this application.

boardwatcher so I'm guessing you ran it as root from the terminal? have you tried running it from your own user account?

boardwatcher No it is running fine. From the extracted folder run it from terminal:
./wavebox or /wavebox-launcher.
About to make work wavebox.desktop is not that simple because you need to move some files to proper path.

boardwatcher I'd suggest asking the maintainer of the snap to update it and help them maintain it, that way you have a version that will auto update.
