I am using Solus 4.1 with GNOME 3.36.3 and I noticed when playing Final Fantasy XIV that some of my Keyboard inputs vanish into the void and it seems like I never pressed the key(s).

When using Manjaro Budgie this issue also popped up. Not sure what is going on here or what to look for at this point. All the searching I did only turned up older bugs on older releases.

Any help would be appreciated.

Astilex this might sound dumb, but did you try going in the game settings and reassign the keys that are not doing their jobs? 🤔

Also If I stagger the inputs it seems to work, but this should not be happening either way my inputs worked fine under MATE and Plasma.

laky Tried re-binding them and no dice. Inputs are still all wonky.

Edit: It a little better actually but still very inconsistent.

Might be that your keyboard strokes are delayed. But maybe its just the keyboard fault? 😃 Maybe try replacing the keyboard if you have one lying around.

laky No dice. Issue still persists on my Wooting One. I also changed the mouse and it also had no effect. I'm pretty sure this is an issue with GNOME as MATE and Plasma never displayed this behavior.

Astilex I can't say what the problem is here,I don't use Gnome anymore, so my hands are tied . Sorry and good luck !

Yeah I just dumped GNOME for Plasma. 3.36 did something to the way inputs are received this is creating this issue. I just don't have the time to deal with a prolonged issue.
