Help with a certain program.

I need a program to make it possible to scan my B/W negatives on a Canoscan. Untill yesterday I ran it on a Mac. Yesterday my Mac died. For now it is only possible to do the same on a Windows machine. My question : Is it possible to run a Windows program on my Solus?

Possible, yes. With wine. But with varying success. Look here: https://www.winehq.org/.
Wine is in the repository. Try lutrs (in repository as well). That's a graphical frontend for wine

evert if you install lutris, wine will get installed too since it's a dependency. I haven't tried using any Windows scanner software with it though. good luck!

evert sorry, I was wrong. wine isn't a dependency of lutris. you'd need to install wine separately - it's in the software centre too.

evert yeah. You can search the Wine HQ AppDB Website for your application. Maybe you get some infos/results from other people, or just google it 😂
