mate doesnt load

I decided to install mate (I have gnome and budgie), but after installation it does not load further(((
what to do?

torty_tum So, assuming you followed the instructions for GNOME, you would have installed gdm and removed lightdm. I don't think MATE will start correctly with gdm. You can remove gdm, reinstall lightdm, and reboot, but this will temporarily break GNOME. You would need to switch it back if you wish to use GNOME again.

WetGeek My point was I asked them to uninstall gdm which GNOME needs to run. They would need to uninstall lightdm and reinstall gdm if they want to go back to GNOME from MATE.
