Today i have replaced my old HP-officejet 6500 series printer with a more recent Epson ET-2711 ecotank series.
My new printer installed perfectly but i can't remove the old Hp from 'Print settings' and not in the normal 'Settings' -> printers. After deletion 5 seconds later the hp reappaer in both settings?
I also deleted in etc/cups/ppd the hp but he still comes back?
Can someone help here or is this a bug?
I'm on the flagship budgie.
Removing printer fails?
'delete printer' in print settings not holding? interesting. reboot for sure.
it still is considered a valid printer...so there is some profile still active somewhere? did you do a file search and see what exists? is hplips or similar still installed?
2 cents--all I got
Uh the hp isnt still on is it and are you still connected to it wireless?
I have rebooted several times and hp-lip is not installed
If it's a network printer it will keep getting picked up by cupsbrowsed
@DataDrake it is indeed a network printer, any idea how to remove it?
darknetmatrix You would have to disable cups-browsed
service afaik.
mmmh, okey let's marked this as solved then
