Girtablulu Don't take me wrong I appreciate you trying to answer my question, but I don't think you really answered my question. Please clarify? I know the nvidia-gls-driver-current (Current Kernel) is for the graphics card, that's why I installed it in the first place. Did the Linux Kernel team drop support for (some functionality of some) nvidia graphics cards some months ago? I like to know what software changes where made and where when the sounds stopped working some time ago?
Let me emphasize that everything worked fine without the nvidia-glx-driver before. Also I do not have the nvidia-glx-driver (LTS Kernel) installed and still the sounds work when booted to the LTS kernel. I am new to linux and trying to learn the "ecosystem" by exploring what happens "behind the scenes" so to speak. Maybe it takes a tech savvy person to answer my question.
