Budgie Dock vs Plank

I have been using Plank as my dock for a while now and I am quite happy with it. However, I really like the way context menus work in the Budgie Icon Task List Applet so I was trying to switch to using a Budgie panel in dock mode that hides automatically. The problem is: I cannot get the hiding of the dock to work reliably. No matter what setting I choose (automatic, intelligent), I can not get the dock to show up on hover when running full screen applications. Is there something I am doing wrong? Some setting I am missing? Is this behaviour even supported?

We can't in fullscreen, just with maximized window.

Sorry, that's what I meant. If I hover over Plank in a maximized window, it shows up. I'd like to have the same for the Budgie Dock if possible.

Strange, it works for me. Have you tried to reset the budgie panel and tried with a new one?

Turns out if I put the dock on the side in a multi monitor setup it cant reliably detect when to appear. Works fine on top or bottom though.

Funny: I did the exact same thing at the exact same time today 🙂 The budgie dock actually works pretty well here once I found out that I have to remove the star to remove the icon from the dock.
