The Curious Case of Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

I have laptop with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 Wifi and on every other linux i must use this command to disable n mode otherwise i can't connect to any wifi as it is desribed here https://askubuntu.com/questions/881674/intel-centrino-wireless-n-2230-wont-connect-keeps-asking-for-password. After aplying this command the speed of internet is slowed down to let's say 2,5 mb/s.

My question is how it is possible that on freshly installed Solus i don't have such problems and internet is way faster? Do you use custom Intel drivers or you have patched intel drivers that no one else has?

I'm really impressed by this and i'm just curious how it is possible.

Anyway keep the good work you are doing with Solus!

I know nothing about your Centrino Wireless, but are you aware that USB WiFi "dongles" are very inexpensive? I bought one that even supports 5 GHz connections for about $15USD. Maybe just plugging in one of those would resolve your issues with the least amount of effort?

WetGeek I'm fully aware about that. But as i said above, there is no issue on Solus and on other distros you just need to execute one command line, which is hardly an issue.

I barely even turn this laptop on as i'm just using it to try new distros.

I just wonder why it works on Solus right away.
