elfprince . I went on a cleaning spree several months ago. :-)
If I had nickel for every FUBAR post I posted here that started with me 'innocently' ripping stuff out or cleaning...millionaire🙂
..I think we got conditioned with MS add/remove programs where these programs were separate entities with no dependencies and you could wrench them out safely...more or less...and I repeat this action in Linux due to my Pavlovian behavior from MS years ago...
does such a centralized, risk-free, add/remove program GUI exist in Linux I wonder? and exist outside a package manager or terminal?
something about solus I ALWAYS wanted to know, but too lazy to ask is:
is there a command that specifically tells me what programs will get FUBAR'd by my cleaning or uinstalling? and what I should do about it?
For example a script that goes. "brent when you uninstall that recipe app, it's going to cripple Meteo and possibly injure a Libre Office plugin. It will also decimate gnome-screenshot. brent, here's what you have to do to get rid of the recipe app and not mess anything up."
Can I have that program?😉
