I just booted a computer with Plasma so I could check for sure. In Dolphin, the folders that are listed by default are the ones in your home folder. To see the root file system, you need to go down to the bottom of the list, under the label Devices, and click the entry there that represents your hard drive. Click it to see the contents starting from "/".
