syntax_error When I plug in an external microphone into the 3.5 mm headphone jack in my computer, Solus detects it as headphones. I tried speaking into it to see if it detects it, but it doesn't work. It works fine on Windows though.
wingman-4 Do you have only a headphone jack ? I ask because most computers include both microphone and headphone jacks.
syntax_error wingman-4 I have a headphone jack, as well as an internal microphone in my computer. But the quality of the internal microphone is terrible, which is why I'm using an external mic.
wingman-4 I think the sound settings would only recognize the mic as an output device if inserted into the headphone jack. Windows must identify the device rather than the jack it's plugged into.
