I don't normally post in forums but this has me desperate.
I bought a Saphire RX580 to replace a GTX660. Got it up and running, uninstalled Nvidia drivers and all that, booted in and found everything fuzzy. I ran the usual troubleshooting (checked packages, updated), nothing worked.
I reverted back to the LTS kernel (4.9) and it was fixed! But not quite... Tried to boot up Prey 2017 in Steam, and it gave me an unsupported graphics card error (which never happened with my 660). Launched it again with Wined3d enabled in Proton and launched but performance was abysmal. It could hardly get 30FPS on Medium settings. For curiosity I booted back into the new kernel and tried it with Wined3d off and performance was upwards of 70FPS on Very High, right where it should be.
Now I wanted to roll back from the latest update, but when I run sudo eopkg history -t 377
it terminates because "midori" is not found in the repo. Is there a way to skip missing items?
I am also confused because eopkg info linux-lts | head -n2; uname -a
and eopkg info linux-current | head -n2; uname -a
show versions that don't match, but the troubleshooting page is not exactly clear on what to do next.
