  • OpenVPN issues since recent set of updates?

Since the recent set of updates, I'm unable to add/import an OVPN file on a fresh install of 4.1. User/passwd details are filled, CA and User cert .pem files are being pulled, but the 'Add' button stays grayed out.

For what it's worth, the same exact OVPN file works fine on an existing install on another PC with the same details and credentials, which also recently got the update. The 'Apply' button is grayed out after attempting to change any details/credentials on there, so it's definitely update-related. This is an ExpressVPN .ovpn, so TLS is used.

Did anything change with the update?

Anyone? This is pretty much preventing the possibility of using any VPN via OpenVPN unless it was already configured.

When importing your OVPN file, look for this entry:

Are you able to import the key from your /home folder, where you may find it in the hidden folder: .cert/nm-openvpn/servername-key.pem

If yes, are you then able to click "Save" ?

[deleted] Is this somehow newly required? This did in fact solve the issue. Looking at other installations though, I've always previously been able to leave this empty. Thank you so much either way.

Not sure if this change is intended, spend 25 min. trying to find out, why the old way do not work anymore... Found this solution which is new to me also, never looked in the .cert folder before, and were not aware that there would be a private key file there...
