Hi Devs,

Is there a way to install yandex disk on Solus? Yandex disk only rpm and deb packages.

yes you can install it manually by extracting the content of a deb file called "data.tar.gz" to the correct location
and then creating the systemd service file and so on
but that's a dirty way to do it

Thanks for your response. I can extract the .tar.gz file into a local folder and then copy it to where ever it is supposed to be there. I am not sure about the systemd service file thing. Can you please elaborate on it?

Please be very careful extracting deb files to the root of your drive, you can inadvertently break a lot. Please backup all data before proceeding.

Thanks, I can take care of that. I just need to know how to setup the systemd service after extracting the deb files.

but did you manage to setup the files to the correct location ? if so can you run yandex-disk setup

Yep, I was able to do that yesterday and also extracted the yd-tools and the system tray notification is also working fine. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I don't have these files. I got a new iMac and the Solus installation doesn't work on the iMac. I moved to Pop OS after that.

It shouldn't be too hard to do that. You need to download the deb package, extract the deb package with archive manager or xarchiver and then copy paste the individual components into their respective location.
