Marcus DataDrake I absolutely respect that, but I have many email addresses and it would really annoy me to switch between different sites all the time 😅
DataDrake kyrios Maybe in the Outlook Express days when I still had a Hotmail account. Even then the Yahoo and Hotmail web clients were superior.
DataDrake Girtablulu Nah, I just like things that require little to no configuration out of the box. I spent way too much of my teenage years tweaking the hell out of Ubuntu for very little actual reward.
JoshStrobl Girtablulu Savage xD Gaming4LifeDE Does Mailspring still require an intermediate server rather than directly connecting to IMAP and SMTP servers?
Jazzyboy1 I use Evolution because I wasn't a fan of Thunderbird's UI. I wish it handled folders better though. It seems to only sync folders when you open them. Which makes things difficult when you're OCD like me and like to sort absolutely everything into relevant folders. I do adore the UI though. It integrates almost perfectly with the DE theme.
Sarno Jazzyboy1 I use Evolution because I wasn't a fan of Thunderbird's UI. How recently have you tried Thunderbird, if you don't mind me asking? They changed their UI last year.
kyrios Sarno And they gonna change it this year as well. This being said, I don't expect miracles. Thunderbird UI looks outdated imo and I doubt it will radically change but personally I don't really care; the application is strong, handle multiple mails accounts, signing & encrypting mails, has plugins that's all I need.
elfprince I used to use Apple Mail, and then Thunderbird once I switched to Linux. Too much space usage over time to store all those emails. Then changing machines becomes a big pain. Using Gmail instead. Accessible from anywhere. Keep mail in the cloud.
MintSpider gmail.com Must admit to not using an email client for my personal use in about 4 years. At work I use Outlook on a Windows 8.1 system, and actually really like using it.
Justin MintSpider Eww 8.1. Work > Outlook on Win10 or Outlook Web Access if I'm at home on my Solus machines. Personal > GMail.com, works perfectly, can be integrated into desktop notifications too.
MintSpider Justin Windows 8.1 is basically what I am given to use. In the end of the day it is fine, because I basically only use Excel, Word, Outlook, and Remote Desktop for Inventory Software.
Staudey Outlook 2016 at work (we recently upgraded from 2003; and to Win 10 from 7 ^^) For personal stuff I only use the Gmail web client; I don't have need for more.
stalebrim kyrios Thunderbird UI looks outdated imo Maybe on the design side, but by the looks it doesn't stick out much to me.
Karol I tried to use Thunderbird, but it was too featureful for my needs, and looked outdated. I use Geary now -- it's good, especially after 0.13 update
Xurel I used mailspring because of the simple design and the unified inbox. Now on protonmail webclient.
nunop Xurel Protonmail webclient user here too. Perfectly happy with it although I might try the protonmail bridge if it were available. Someone managed to build and use it from the .deb file and there's a snap package for an (Electron) application that works with both Protonmail and Tutanota but didn't try it yet.
