any reason why pantheon-terminal removed after today's update?
any reason why pantheon-terminal removed after today's update?
It was poorly maintained on multiple occasions and I got tired of having to update it during GNOME Stack upgrades. I've had to do this multiple years now. It's never had a proper maintainer. So it was deprecated permanently.
There are plenty of other terminals available in the repo for use.
Apologize for my lack of knowledge in terms of software development, but judging by the git page it was updated about 2 months ago, so is the update frequency not the only factor for a package to be considered well-maintained?

also if I install it manually from the eopkg file, would it still be removed after the next upgrade?

I'm talking about the package maintenance, not the software maintenance, in this specific case.

I'm not actually sure. It is possible it would.
