recent controller issues in Steam games (Xbox wireless and Flydigi Apex)

OK, at some point in the last 3 weeks (haven't had time to game in a bit) my controllers no longer work in steam games, only within the steam menu. Games I don't run through steam are OK with my Xbox controller still, haven't tried the Apex.

Anyone out there suggest steam configs for these 2 controllers with current Solus build?

Any ideas about why the last 2 Solus updates or a recent Steam update may have borked my controllers?

did a windows-esy fix, and uninstalled and reinstalled steam runtime, and now my Apex controller is working in a few steam games.

It does not help you, but my XBOX 360 Wireless and XBOX One S (Bluetooth) both work fine after the latest updates. Which "XBOX Wireless" controller do you have?

a pair of 360 wireless with the receiver, after un and re installing steam runtime, everything is now sorted.
