Can't play audio CD with Solus

When I insert an audio CD into the drive, there is no prompt provided asking what to do with it.

Clicking on the audio CD under the removable devices section of dolphin gives no response.

If I try to access the audio CD from the search menu the following error is provided:

If I install and open VLC and click Media > Open Disc > Audio CD > Play, the playback of the audio cd is successful so I know the cd and disk drive are fine.

go to system settings>devices>removable media and set the defaults.
Linux is not like windows and mac, there is not always default system level tools to do everything,
Choose audio cd, and choose whatever program you prefer,( like VLC ) and set it as default, and it will launch when you insert a disc

I don't seem to have this function available in system settings.

TheMooseIsLoose go up a level or two from where you were in system settings, you can see I am somewhere a little different.
try this
go to "about"
click back arrow button to take you to Devices
then click Removable Media

This is a good reminder for all of us. I've never taken the time to set these defaults on any of the installations I've done.

I have addressed this issue with a custom ruleset under device actions derived from the last post of this thread: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=151435

Since the OP that posted the solution was french, I have replicated the screenshots in english:

This grants a popop to open with VLC upon inserting an audio CD, but attempting to access it from dolphin is still unresponsive. Next project is seeing if I can do a similar ruleset for DVD video play.

Only the name, command, and middle parameter must be changed.
