Hi! I am new to Linux and Solus, and I am running Solus on a Linux ThinkPad e485. I cannot get my wifi card to be recognized when I'm in my latest Solus 4.1 Fortitude 5.2.18.129.current
linux kernel. However, if I select the alternate boot entry, which takes me to the 4.20.16-112.current kernel, I can access wifi just fine. On this old linux kernel, running inxi -N tells me I have a r8169 wifi driver, but I on the newer kernel, I only see the ethernet.
The reason I want to run the latest kernel of linux is because on my older kernel, I cannot upgrade any of my packages. It always errors out with restarting virtualbox services failed (maybe this is a separate problem that could resolve this whole thing?). So anyway, I want to access wifi on the latest linux kernel. Any advice on how to proceed?
Cannot connect to wifi on latest kernel
5.4.12 is the current kernel. You're either not up to date or your EFI partition is full.
