I remember having som problems in the past where I removed some, but not all, Solus related files in /boot/efi and now that I once again feel the urge to test Solus Plasma I would like to get it right. 🙂

So, what in the output below belongs to Solus only and can be safely deleted without affecting any other os?
(Microsoft directory excluded in order to make it readable)

So I removed com.solus-project and goofiboot before install.
After a completed installation I was unable to start Solus, did not have any efi boot option.
So, I restored goofiboot and manually added a boot option. Then I was able to start Solus Plasma 4.1.
Later on I read that goofiboot was deprecated and replaced by systemd boot.
Now I'm using another boot option based on systemd boot.

Should everything be ok now once I remove goofiboot once again?

9 months later

I took a look at how my MacBook Pro 5,1 boots today. I found

$ sudo mount /dev/sda1 /boot

$ ls -l /boot/EFI/goofiboot/goofibootx64.efi
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 85227 Oct 17  2016 /boot/EFI/goofiboot/goofibootx64.efi

$ ls -l /boot/EFI/systemd/systemd-bootx64.efi
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 91840 Sep 21 22:28 /boot/EFI/systemd/systemd-bootx64.efi

So I removed goofiboot

$ cd /boot/EFI/
sudo rm -r goofiboot/

Everything just works fine without it.
