Everything is said in the title I use Open shot but now that I control it well I would like to move on to something more professional, especially for sports montages. You use what for this kind of editing.
What video editing software do you use
My knowledge about video editing programs is very limited, but I think you should check out this https://www.shotcut.org/ (it is present in the solus repo).

Now that I think of, there is this one https://www.olivevideoeditor.org/index.php, as well. Not present in the solus repos but there is a snap for it.
Also, blender has video editing capabilities if you want to check it out.

Same here... Downloading the app image, making it executable,... Is more work than eopkg it/rm IMHO.
