Here's my quick update process. Had a live usb of Solus handy, made sure I had all my important files backed up, and then proceeded as follows:
Used Tilix terminal, ran sudo eopkg up
once and then again just to make sure it downloaded and installed every package. Running it twice did indeed download 3 extra packages on the second pass, one was nvidia-glx-driver so thank goodness I did it twice! I did receive the two errors as expected for "Reloading systemd configuration” and “Re-executing systemd" and then ran sudo usysconf run -f
which was followed by sudo sync
I attempted to log out of my GNOME session, but that left me stuck at a black screen with a blinking white cursor. So I did a hard shutdown for my laptop, rebooted it up, and logged right back in. No issues to report other than what was discussed on IRC about udisks files being corrupted when running eopkg check
but other than that my system functions like normal on Solus GNOME (LTS Kernel). I'd just like to graciously thank the developers for their continued commitment, hard work, and making me enjoy and love using Linux each and every single week! You guys are doing a wonderful job, keep it up!
