Is the repos' Vim package built with gVim ligatures enabled? (patched)?

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the tracker

I'm aware that Solus' default gnome-terminal is not able to render ligatures. FiraCode font is provided in the repos. That font is famous for its ligatures feature. I attempted to install FiraCode, set it via budgie settings as the default monospace font, then open gVim.

No ligatures rendered.

So my question is, do I need to dig further into the root cause of this? Or is Solus' build of gVim not patched to support ligatures?
