Both Hardware are Corsair products and were being used with ckb software. This abnormal behavior is not limited to unresponsive clicks, unwelcomed hotkeys, and spurious input. My Corsair keyboard and mouse are both around a year old, however this may be a problem with my ckb software. Swapped to a crappy Dell key board and mouse and it seems to work fine. I want to fix this so I can return to my Corsair gear.
