Hi everyone,
I am no developer or professional or anything, I just find Solus looks gorgeous as an OS and although I have Windows everywhere else, I see Linux Distros as an attractive concept.
Because of this, you probably guessed I have no idea what I am doing and how to sort out issues by myself without the help of people who actually know what they're doing.
Whenever my Solus OS times out and goes to Energy Saving, a few things just stop working when i turn it back on.
Sound goes to digital (you can't hear anything out of the speakers), but this is easy to fix by just unplugging the jack from the Desktop and plugging it back in (curiously it doesn't work if I unplug it from the other end of the cable, which is where the sound is meant to arrive), whilst my network adapter just stays down.
My network module is not integrated in the Desktop, and I have to use a TP-LINK USB to connect to Wi-Fis, but after hibernations Solus just fully ignores the USB drive alltogether. The light doesn't blink and when I click on the Wi-Fi it says that the Network Services are unamanaged or something similar, with the "Ethernet Connection" box unticked. Whenever I try to tick it back on, the window for Network connections (the one in the bottom right) just closes without actually ticking it back.
I apologise for the unprofessional wording, but I am just trying to give an image as accurate as possible with the few technological terms I know.
I have already re-installed Solus once, but the problem persisted through both installations.
Does anyone think they would be able to help?
Thank you in advance,
Denis.
