Not able to launch Steam or Blizzard launcher since 12/13 update

since yesterdays update, I am unable to launch Steam or the Blizzard games launcher (even within Lutris) These have worked for me flawlessly since I installed Solus a year ago. Blizzard launcher gives this error : Failed to create a graphics context.
Steam acts as if it is beginning an update, then just disappears.
My graphics card is an AMD Radeon R9 390 and has latest driver update as of about a week ago. These launchers and games all worked flawlessly up until latest Solus update (12/13/2019).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the computer in question is used exclusively for Steam and other gaming, and has now been rendered useless.

I don't currently have a worthy answers for you, but for others to be able to help you better and know more about your machine that's using Steam, please post the output of inxi -Fxxxza --no-host

I don't think inxi is installed by default, but if you search the Software center for inxi there's one small package to install. All the inxi command does is let us know your system specifications, it does not have any personal or identifying information, just technical specifications like what your graphics card is, what your kernel is, etc.

I'm sorry to hear you're currently having this issue, (+1 for gaming) but hopefully it can be resolved within this lovely community. If all else fails though, a rollback is kind of like your last resort option to potentially 'fix' this.

I am still crashing on occasion. Screen blacks out and have to hard reboot. I checked psensor on reboot and gpu is 40-42c every time, way hotter than it used to be, and gpu fan sensor says 0 rpm. unsure if it's dead or just not seen. guess I have to crack the box while it's running. wish me luck.

Seems like I need to disable native runtime. Universally or just within steam I wonder??

I can not launch steam any longer, so are you suggesting to try that within config files? (forgive me if that is obvious or a stupid question).
Also Radeon profile seems to no longer recognize my video card entirely :/
It seems like an issue is probably my Asus PB287Q monitor not having linux drivers, and will not allow GTX. I was using the bleading edge or whatever Steam, and either with it's own 12/12 update or Solus 12/13 update I have a no gaming gaming machine 🙁

so I am guessing I need to find a way to enable GLX with monitor, or disable it within Steam and other game launchers now?
Even rolling back all Solus updates I still get same error within Steam term launch

gotta type quick...
after a few tweaks I got Steam to launch, and it went into update mode for a while, then screen blacked out.
Now after I boot Solus, it crashes within a few minutes (screen blacks out technically ) and I have to reboot! Timing it this time and watching htop and info.
