Headphone Audio Concern

Hi,

My headphone plug into the audio jack via the monitor and unable to recieve sound. I looked at the Sound setting and can see three HDMIs and Digital Audio. I tested three HDMI options and all produce bad quality sound worst than Windows 10. I am wondering if anyone have the same issue when trying to get the headphone to work?

Could anyone advise me if I need to install sound drivers? if so what are the name of that sound I need to get the sound quality and the headphone to work out of the box.

I do not know if you already tried, pavucontrol? If not:

In a terminal: sudo eopkg install pavucontrol

And to run it in a terminal type: pavucontrol (it is also under sound & video "start" menu, pulse audio something)

Maybe look specially under the configuration tab, there the different profiles, but the other tabs too

Sound via the monitor you are trying, maybe the output from Solus is just too loud? And of course there is the monitor audio level then too...
