My desktop is configured for french language with french AZERTY keaybord. It works when loged.
But When I go to connexion screen the keyboard is not into french but english ....
Nobody can help me ?
What is the content of your /etc/vconsole.conf file?
If it's KEYMAP=us, then this is the root of the problem.
It should be smth like KEYMAP=fr ,
where fr is the keyboard layout code for French keyboards. I never used them, so don't know the right code.
I using the Solus 4.1 KDE and not have this file (/etc/vconsole.conf)
I create it and add lien and reboot same ...
I say it produce only when first start....
When logged and after when it login screen appear when inactivity, the keybord is in french ...
Most distros include vconsole.conf content into initramfs | initrd image and use it at boot time. Not sure about Solus though.
If you didn't delete vconsole.conf yet, try to rebuild initrd, and all the rest with:
sudo usysconf run --force
just hello I test and nothing do ....
i living in Russia, and i use 2 keyboards: Russian and English, but only Russian keyboard uploading with systems, i used screen keyboard to enter a password. But recently I found that you can change the priority, just put the keyboard first in the settings "Region And Language"
