Hallo,
Sorry, because my English is very bad, I translated it to Google.

Have a Digital Devices DuoFlex series for DVB-S / S2 and do not get it to work.
This is not even recognized by the system. Although I have derived the installation of Ubuntu, where it works fine, but it does not work under Solus.
What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to make it work?

Solus does not show anything under the "dmesg | grep -i dvb" command.
What am I doing wrong?

    It's been dealt with.
Solus is a nice system but still too young.
Need some programs that are not in the Software Center. For example: DVDStyler, w-scan ....
Since there are differences, against Ubuntu and Co, in the commands and there is no suitable documentation, it is difficult to install these over the terminal, if at all possible.
What a pity, Solus was in my shortlist.

mars As mentioned over in the Dev section of Solus here - https://dev.getsol.us/T149
This won't be included any time soon in the Solus repo because

"...after further review, this relies on several libraries that are 2-4 years out of date and no longer actively maintained. Sorry, but I have to reject this." (Source: DataDrake).

That was in 2016 however. The issue was revisited again this year in September, but according once again to DataDrake:

"This has sat in accepted for inclusion for over 30 days. Clearly, there is a lack of demand for the inclusion of this software, nobody has stepped up to provide a completed patch, maintain it, and properly integrate it. Closing as a result. Feel free to reopen but only when someone offers a patch via our proper patch submission methods and volunteers to be maintainer."

Solus devs are volunteers first and foremost, but also passionate developers with a certain vision. Solus is not meant to include EVERY single application out there. It's meant to include applications that are properly maintained and updated, as outdated software could cause issues. Sorry to hear an application you need not be available, but good luck in your quest to you!

    Can understand her arguments well.
What annoys me at the time is that the satellite TV card is not recognized, even the driver from the manufacturer does not help. I would like to stay with Solus. But I also want to be able to use this TV card.
What can I / we do there?

mars lspci -nn and lsusb to help me see what we might be missing in the kernel.

mars I need the -nn so that it also gives me the PCI IDs so that I know what to look for in the configuration flags.

      Oh, Sorry, missed the parameters.
