It's already an hour at the point of writing. Can I cancel this and try again over the terminal or is this a thing of patience?
As a side note, my internet is running at 11 MB/s but it got stuck at this.

The GUI updater hangs nearly every time here. Just use the terminal: sudo eopkg up!

So I can close it and use the terminal? It's the first time facing this issue. 😁

I use: sudo eopkg up it works great, and I like the feeling of being closer to CLI user-hood.

HolySoap As told already here, Software Center likes to curl up in a ball upon errors, so sudo eopkg up is the way to go.

HolySoap If you just close the updater, the process is still running in the background. Easiest solution is a reboot and then the terminal action.
