Hello, i currently changed my Motherboard as my old board broke. I setup the new board and everything is working without any reinstall. The only issue i face is when i play game or view video it lags. I have Nvidia 1050 and Left 4 Dead lags very badly in this. My old motherboard had no issues. (Old board - H61M-CS, New board - H61 from Zebronics)

I changed my primary gpu to 1050 still the game lags badly. Anything i can do to improve performance. (all my game settings are low)

Could you post via a pastebin link your /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

RaMa How to get that log ? Sorry not familiar with the terms

Apologize, i know about terminal and how to open it. But didn't know what command to run to get the output

Here is the pastebin link -

OK thanks, that looks normal, to me at least ;-)

Could you then play a game or watch video where it lags, take note of the time, and then post the output from the terminal command (also via pastebin):

    sudo journalctl -k -b --no-pager

(that shows kernel messages since the last boot)

and also tell us at what time you experienced the lagging...

Jason5 I think there is an issue with my CPU.

OK, thank you, I saw a few acpi lines and a few kernel tainted lines, but on the end it gets interesting!

It seems the CPU gets too hot, and is throttled down in speed!

I guess that could cause lagging?

So... is the cooling OK? Thermal paste between CPU and heatsink? Ventilator running?

Do you overclock? Maybe reset BIOS to defaults? (If they are not)

I didn't apply a fresh Thermal Paste when i connected my assembled my new build. As few patches of paste were there and i thought it would be sufficient. Now i applied a fresh coat and it seems fine now. Thanks for your time and help.

It was a nice little puzzle to help you, good luck! Thank you 😃
