I know this may not be a priority to you guys, but, could it be possible to upgrade the LTS Kernel to 4.19.
Kernel 4.19 seems to be really good balance between hardware compatility and stability.
The reason I'm asking this is because kernel 5.3 breaks my system and kernel 4.9 is too old, so it doesnt support my gamepad. If kernel 4.19 is good enough for Debian (default kernel) and Arch Linux (LTS kernel) it has to be good for you.

obi-juan88 I'm not one of the Devs, so take my words with a grain of salt unless someone corrects me, but simply put an LTS kernel needs to maintain support for a "long-term" hence the name LTS, long-term support. Kernel 4.19 is only supported till about December 2020, but the LTS kernel that Solus currently uses, 4.9 is an LTS that is supported until at least January 2023. So just on that basis alone, it makes more sense to provide kernel 4.9 to users since that one will receive support for a much longer period.

If you are curious where I got this information it is provide over on the kernel webpage here:
    https://www.kernel.org/category/releases.html

Thanks for the info, I did not know that kernel 4.9 support was until 2023, it makes sense keeping 4.9 kernel as your lts kernel. I'll stick to 4.9 for now.

4.19 is also after the AMD DC/DAL patches landed which in the early days caused a bunch of problems for people with older cards. It's gotten better since then, but I'd much rather wait until we have a 5.X series LTS before bumping us forward. 4.9 has been rock solid and does get support for some newer hardware from time to time.
