Hi,
I think that bbm, a font that should be included in texlive ( according to CTAN), is missing.
When I try co compile any document containing \mathbbm{1}, I get the error
don't know how to create bitmap font for bbm10. mktexpk: perhaps bbm10 is missing from the map file.
Appending font creation commands to missfont.log.
missingfont.log contains
mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --mag 1+0/600 --dpi 600 bbm10
Here's a minimal working example
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{bbm}
\begin{document}
$ \mathbbm{1} $
\end{document}
What confuses me even more, is that when I look for bbm in /usr , I find (among others) bbm10.tfm and bbm.sty, but the bbm10.mf file is not present anywhere.
I'm pretty inexperienced in all this stuff, as latex always worked out of the box for me. Are some files actually missing from the texlive package, or is there something else at play here?
