I've said before that the only apps I've routinely used in other distributions, but are missing in Solus, are TimeShift and BackInTime.
TimeShift provides a simple and straightforward way to restore a previously working system in the event that a computer becomes corrupted for any reason. It quickly creates and stores "snapshots" of the system much like the snapshots that are made by virtualization managers, but also works for systems that are installed on hardware, not just VMs.
BackInTime similarly provides a way to take snapshots of a USER's FILES that can easily be restored in the case of a problem that cannot be solved otherwise.
These useful programs are not available via eopkg, but I've recently learned that both Flatpack and Snap are alternatives that are available to us on Solus. That leads me to wonder whether one or both of those systems provides the applications I want, and if so, what incantations would be required to obtain them.
I'm hoping that someone here will have the familiarity with Flatpack and/or Snap to help me with this.
