I just received a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7010 that has an integrated Intel ethernet LAN card. The output of "ip a" shows the interface "Up" but states there is no carrier. I have swapped network cables and switch ports, but I still get the same results. I am thinking that the there might be an issue with the physical port on the Dell, maybe a bent pin or something, but, I am also thinking that it is a driver issue.

Has anyone else had any issues with integrated Intel ethernet LAN interfaces? Are there drivers that I need to install? If so, can I install the drivers from a file? As I don't have internet access since the interface isn't working. Thanks.

I am thinking this is a physical issue. Maybe a bad card or something.

DataDrake Thanks. I appreciate it. I have a new PCI-e interface card coming tomorrow. That should work.
