I can not hibernate too on a pure linux tower.
I have 64 GB of RAM, 2 swap files, the default one and another of 64 GB that I created.
(until now I believed hibernation was not working because swap file was too small).
I wanted to keep a working job alive (using 32 GB of RAM).
I applied kill -STOP on it and tried a hibernate.
After three hours, the screen was off but the computer did not seem to "sleep" at all.
(I supposed 3h are sufficient to write on a ssd 64 GB of data).
I was forced to switched it off to go on.
I am running Solus 4.3 Fortitude up to date.
I tried 5 minutes ago. Instead of sleeping, the computer switched off. When starting, everything goes ok (for a standard starting) but instead of login screen, I had a black screen. I was forced to switch it off to restart (then everything ok).
Is there something I am missing with the "hibernate" command please? Thank you for Solus wonderfull distribution.
