It might be nice to have a wiki dedicated to documenting Solus compatibility for particular hardware. For example, what I found out about installing Solus on my Macbook7,1 might go in there and I would update it over time. The Laptop Compatibility Page could link to dedicated pages on this wiki. It could eventually also serve as a guidance to someone looking to buy hardware in the future.

I like the efficiency in your ideas, although editing and linking all the links required in the laptop compatibility page would take volunteers and editorial oversight to get to the fix. For example some threads take 40 posts of spitballin before fruition. Some don't.

One of core teams' best moves was conceiving and using the SOLVED tag right out the Flarum forum launch....thus indexable, traceable when it comes to solutions.

To take your idea one step further...One can search with the solved tag, which is nice. But not with the SOLVED tag + +search term, or +another tag. Make that happen and this site becomes uber-indexable and they can skip the dedicated mac thing you wanted and the linked compatibility page. Although I think the second one more valuable than the first, even for an os that stresses a desktop experience. Disclosure: I don't have a laptop

We already have a Help Center, as you noted. A full-fledged wiki is not something I'm interested in and largely I think having dedicated pages for individual hardware devices is overkill. If a device doesn't completely work out-of-the-box, then it isn't compatible, and thus shouldn't be on the page to begin with. It isn't something I would want to advertise as being compatible with Solus since not everyone would have the technical expertise to make the necessary modifications to ensure Solus is able to fully utilize the capabilities of the device.

Thank you for your ideas though.

Then my suggestion would be to add this to the Hardware compatibility page (with this meaning that it works out of the box 😊, that wasn't clear to me).
