FunkyloverOne After the fresh install, the update is only around 700 MB, so not much of a problem
Solus 4 Fortitude Released!
I reinstalled Solus few days ago, and the update was around 600MB. To be on the safe side I updated from tty.

Been using the KDE Plasma myself for a few months and I couldn't agree more.....not a single issue...none, since I started using it, and trust me I've been playing around a lot!
I started using Solus (Budgie) 2 years ago or so, but for whatever the reason, I feel more comfortable using KDE, so I jumped to it, even it was being said still in beta/testing, and it's been solid like rock all this time.
Solus is the best desktop distro. by far. These guys are doing an amazing work, and I can just show my gratitude and appreciation.
Thanks guys
Juan.
Running KDE and it is awesome. Hats off to you all for bouncing back from Ikey leaving and keeping Solus alive. Way to go!

i just installed solus 4 gnome from scratch, not sure why, might be withdrawal sympthoms from the ubuntu-install-every-6-months days + gnome was getting a bit unstable, figured why not try a fresh install.
might i just say how much i appreciate the quality of the entire experience, it just rocks.
theres just one thing that feels wrong, after installing i was greeted with a blinking cursor - this is not the problem, i knew that would happen (rtx 2070), its just a matter of installing nvidia drivers in tty(although one might say an iso refresh is in order), the problem was that even after logging in in tty my keyboard layout that i set in the installer wasnt respected and reverted to i guess US layout. took a bit of fiddling trying to find the '-' key. luckily my password didnt contain any characters that made this an even bigger problem
Lucien_Lachance 2*** series cards still aren't supported by nouveau
so an ISO refresh won't help. NVIDIA just need to be more open with their firmware etc or whatever is needed for nouveau to support it further.
thank you all involved for a great release
