Yesterday I installed Solus on my friends laptop, everything works great but we spent almost 3 hours doing the update after the install because connection at my friends place is rather weak. So is it possible to get refreshed ISO so users with weak connection don't spend whole afternoon updating their Solus? Cheers.

Not a dev, but an ISO refresh takes a bit of time to create and Solus is sailing along on volunteers who only have a finite amount of time to dedicate to certain tasks and priorities and I don't believe ISO refreshes are a huge priority, which when you consider all the tasks the devs have to handle this year, it kind of makes sense. Well anyways I hope that helps clear anything up! Enjoy your weekend dkf

dkf It is not the ISO per se, but the fact Solus is a rolling release.
Maybe the only downside of a rolling release, is bandwidth for updates.

I suspect that we shall see a new ISO packaged by end of year (based on what I see from our dev overlords).

This is (sometimes) how solus iso installs go. I never got frustrated or even cared. If it needed 2 or more hours to update then I just found something non-digital to do. Different temperaments, I suppose.

By the way : It took the guys about four/five years to develop Evolve/Solus so far. So what's the ptoblem with a few hours updating it. Oke, it takes some time, but after that time you have the best system in the world.:
