I have an NX625 printer that I can print to. Solus detected the printer and prints to it without issue. However I have not been able to get the scanner part of the printer to work. I have tried simple scan but it does not see it. A little help would be appreciated.

hello
Sorry for my English, I'm French. I use
https://www.deepl.com/home for translation.

Do you have the package?

epson-inkjet-printer-printer-escpr installed.

If not install it and restart your PC.

It is installed. does the printer need to be connected by USB cable. It is currently connected by wifi.

sumnersaf Most printers are easily found over WiFi, if not try via cable.

Justin It's fine as you write it. epson-inkjet-printer-escpr.
      Sorry.

sumnersaf For wifi I don't know.

I have an Epson Xp-257 connected with a USB cable.
Look first if in the simple-scan preferences you don't have several choices.

To make my scanner work I modified several files.

      /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
      /etc/sane.d/epson,conf
      /etc/sane.d/epson2.conf
      /etc/sane.d/epsonds.conf

In a terminal do lsusb to know the ID of your scanner.
      For me it gives you
      Bus 002 Device 003: ID 04b8:113d Seiko Epson Corp. XP-255 257 Series
      Then modify the files epson.conf, epson2.conf, epsonds.conf.

      Which gives me something.

      and finally restart your computer.
      My /etcMy /etc/sane.d/dll.conf file
      /sane.d/dll.conf file
