Watch a DVD movie

Hi,
I just got me a fresh install of Solus 4 and am very impressed by the slick feel and the sheer fastness of the package manager and the boot process. Then I got a bit disappointed, when I tried to watch a movie from DVD . I opened GNOME MPV and searched everywhere for an option to start playing the dvd, but could only browse the files on there. On a forum I found that it is possible to start playback of the DVD from the terminal like this: mpv dvd:// which I figured out had to be modified to gnome-mpv dvd:// to work on my Solus Budgie system. I still can't figure out how to play a DVD from the GUI though.

I also tried playing the dvd from VLC, but it would instantly crash (see https://discuss.getsol.us/d/2163-vlc-crashes-when-open-a-video-file/9).

Would be cool if the experience would become more like plug and play in the future!

We have no control over how they develop the application. I suggest you post on their issue tracker https://github.com/celluloid-player/celluloid/issues, celluoloid player is the new name for GNOME MPV.

Ok fair enough, I posted an issue https://github.com/celluloid-player/celluloid/issues/467
In the mean time a menu entry that DVD player that does gnome-mpv dvd:// or celluloid dvd:// might be a feasible workaround. How would I go about creating such a menu entry?
