Hello there and greetings from germany!

Is it possible to manually install the drivers for the EcoTank ET-14000? Epson only supports *.deb and *.rpm. I already extracted the *.deb-File for the PPD-File but if i choose the PPD, the "Printer Settings" window wont finish the installation, because of a missing "filter". This filter binay is also included in the *.deb from Epson, but dunno where to go with it.

Tried to copy the binary (with Nautilus via sudo nautilus) into the location: /usr/lib/cups/filter but no luck.

Best wishes
Kevin.

/edit: Oh, and no, the epson-driver package from the Software Center does not support the EcoTank ET-14000.

kevka Yeah you're right on that one.

You may not rent, lease, distribute, lend the Software to third parties

Note to self, avoid Epson products.

Try this though. In the amd64 deb is the PPD and filter etc. Extract that whole lot to /opt (you may need to create this folder with sudo). Then extract this folder into it epson-inkjet-printer-201311w. It's looking for the filter /opt/epson-inkjet-printer-201311w/cups/lib/filter/epson_inkjet_printer_filter

Well... "Installation" of the ppd-file was possible. No errors regarding this part, but if i want to print anything (even a testpage) the job goes to the printer but stops directly. If i cancel all jobs and start anew, the same problem occurs once again. /opt and everything in it belongs to root

Here's the error.log or part of from the last job:

No solution for now. Only workaround is doing all the work, export everything in PDFs, save everything on flash, get a windows-tablet, open everything and start printing.
