Background:
I'm trying to install Solus to dual boot alongside Windows 10, which was already installed. I used GParted to set up an ext4 and swap partition for Solus before using the installer. I read that Solus needs an EFI system partition that's at least 512 MB, but there was conflicting information about whether to use two separate ESPs or just one large one. I went with increasing the size of the ESP that was already there from Windows.
So I set up all my partitions, I ran the Solus ISO from a USB, the installation seemed to go fine and gave a success message at the end. I restarted the computer, got to the boot menu and there's no entry for Solus.
Windows did still boot (thank goodness) so I checked Windows' disk manager and it says that the partitions I created for Solus are completely empty, like nothing has actually been installed.
I don't know if I should just try installing Solus again or if something more fundamental is wrong. Has anyone else seen a similar issue?
