justoneprimate In Scotland we had the saying "Dinna cast a cloot until May is oot!".
Which I always took to mean don't remove outer clothing until the end of May.
However, I have recently discovered that the May referred to is a flowering plant that blooms in the Spring, so pretty much the same thing.
